Planning: Recce

Before we could start filming we went on a few location "recce" shots, in which we went to many different potential shooting locations, took pictures, went home and evaluated which location would be the best to use. Here are some of the shots we got with an explanation on why we did and didn't choose to use each area

Whilst looking for a suitable forest location, we found a small marsh type area, and whilst it definitely looked like it would fit a horror film well, it was not what we were looking for and would not be very practical to film in (e.g slipping and damaging equipment).

We decided to film some shots at our school as that would fit the narrative and would make the film not only seem more realistic, but be even scarier to our target audience who all still attend school.
